LEARNINGWISELY UNLOCKS POTENTIAL
To address the increasing instances of bullying and school violence linked to the nationwide epidemic of school shootings, LearningWisely offers a school-wide approach that includes a Partial day professional development program for teachers of pre-teens (elementary and middle school) based on the research done at Yale School of Medicine and James Kimmel Jr.’s School Nonjustice System. LearningWisely lays the groundwork for preventing “revenge addiction” and the bullying that can spiral into tragedy though an online workshop called Step Back From Getting Back. The workshop sets the stage for school wide adoption of the philosophy that celebrates the choice to step back rather than get back when you are wronged. Posters for school bulletin boards, Step Back or Get Back choose your own ending books for each classroom, and Step Back From Getting Back reminder bracelets engraved with S.B.F.G.B. are provided to embed this philosophy school-wide .
